The physician will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic disabling conditions, focusing on functional recovery and quality of life. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed clinical evaluations, formulating individualized rehabilitation plans, overseeing therapeutic interventions, and coordinating care with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists. The role involves performing procedures within the scope of physical medicine and rehabilitation, monitoring clinical progress, adjusting treatment plans, and ensuring documentation meets regulatory and institutional standards. The physician will also participate in case discussions, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, support patient and family education, and engage in ongoing professional development to maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge.Qualifications Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completion of accredited residency or specialist training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.Valid specialist licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the United Arab Emirates.Demonstrated expertise in managing neurological, musculoskeletal, and chronic pain conditions, with a focus on functional assessment and rehabilitation planning.Experience working within multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams and coordinating care across physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and other allied health services.Strong clinical decision-making skills, including the ability to interpret diagnostic tests and integrate evidence-based guidelines into practice.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to counsel patients and families and work collaboratively in a culturally diverse environment.Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, quality improvement, and adherence to local regulatory and institutional standards.Experience in teaching, mentoring, or participating in clinical education programs for junior physicians or allied health professionals is an advantage.Research experience or interest in rehabilitation outcomes, protocols, or innovations in physical medicine is beneficial.Proficiency in English; additional language skills commonly used in the UAE are an asset.
