Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Summary A leading private hospital in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant Podiatrist to provide comprehensive assessment and management of foot and lower-limb conditions. The role involves treating a broad range of musculoskeletal, biomechanical, diabetic, and sports-related foot conditions while working closely with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in podiatric medicine and surgery, excellent patient-management skills, and a recognized Western postgraduate qualification . Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot, ankle, and lower-limb conditions. Provide comprehensive podiatric care for patients with musculoskeletal, biomechanical, and dermatological foot conditions. Manage diabetic foot conditions, wounds, ulcers, and other high-risk foot problems. Conduct gait and biomechanical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide conservative management including orthotics, footwear advice, offloading, and rehabilitation. Perform appropriate podiatric procedures and minor surgical interventions within scope of practice. Manage sports-related foot and lower-limb injuries and support return-to-activity plans. Provide preventive foot-care education and advice to patients and families. Work closely with endocrinologists, orthopedists, vascular surgeons, physiotherapists, wound-care teams, and other specialists. Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with infection-control and patient-safety standards. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development. Recognized degree in Podiatry / Podiatric Medicine . Recognized Western qualification such as UK, American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, or Irish qualification, or equivalent recognized credential. Consultant/Senior-level clinical experience in Podiatry. Strong experience managing complex foot and lower-limb conditions. Experience in diabetic foot care, wound management, biomechanics, orthotics, and podiatric procedures is preferred. Experience in a leading private, tertiary, or multidisciplinary healthcare setting is advantageous. Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
