Consultant Psychiatrist

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and risk assessments. Diagnose and manage a broad range of psychiatric, behavioral, and emotional disorders. Manage conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, and other complex psychiatric conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and appropriate psychological interventions. Manage acute psychiatric presentations, including suicidal ideation, self-harm risk, psychosis, and behavioral emergencies. Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential adverse effects. Provide expert consultation and second opinions for complex psychiatric cases. Coordinate multidisciplinary care with psychologists, therapists, social workers, neurologists, and other medical specialists. Provide appropriate psychotherapy or coordinate psychological interventions within the scope of training. Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and relapse prevention. Maintain comprehensive and confidential clinical documentation. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and continuing medical education. Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and patient-safety requirements. RequirementsQualifications & Requirements MBBS or equivalent medical degree. Recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry, such as MD, DNB, MRCPsych, Arab Board, or equivalent. Significant post-specialization experience with Consultant-level Psychiatry experience. Strong experience managing complex psychiatric and behavioral health conditions. Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary leadership skills.
