The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of psychiatric and mental health disorders, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and evidence-based psychiatric practice.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive psychiatric consultations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with mental health conditionsDiagnose and manage depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and other psychiatric conditionsEvaluate and manage patients with personality disorders, trauma-related disorders, sleep-related psychiatric conditions, and stress-related disordersConduct detailed psychiatric evaluations, mental status examinations, and appropriate psychological risk assessmentsDevelop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and multidisciplinary interventionsPrescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications based on clinical assessment and treatment responseAssess and manage patients presenting with suicidal ideation, self-harm risk, acute psychosis, and psychiatric emergenciesProvide appropriate psychiatric crisis intervention and stabilization within the authorized scope of practiceEvaluate and manage substance-use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions where appropriately trainedProvide long-term management and follow-up for patients with chronic and complex psychiatric disordersCoordinate psychological therapies, behavioral interventions, and rehabilitation programs with multidisciplinary teamsCollaborate with clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, neurologists, primary care physicians, social workers, and other specialistsProvide psychiatric consultations for hospitalized patients and support liaison psychiatry services where requiredEducate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication adherence, relapse prevention, and mental health awarenessSupervise and mentor junior physicians and other mental health professionalsMaintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with patient-safety, ethical, and clinical governance standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in PsychiatryBoard certification or equivalent recognized consultant qualificationFellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Psychiatry is highly desirableMinimum 5-10 years of post-specialization experience in PsychiatryStrong clinical experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of psychiatric and mental health conditionsDemonstrated expertise in psychopharmacology, psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, and long-term psychiatric careExperience managing complex psychiatric cases and multidisciplinary mental health servicesEligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable qualification and experience requirementsExcellent clinical judgment, communication, interpersonal, leadership, and patient-management skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern, well-equipped mental health facilities and supportive clinical infrastructureCollaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
