We are looking for Consultant Radiologists to join our growing Radiology and Imaging team at our Medavakkam centre. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.Role DescriptionThe Consultant Radiologist will be responsible for the interpretation and reporting of a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, with a strong emphasis on ultrasound and advanced sonography, including obstetric and fetal imaging. The role will involve working closely with referring clinicians, radiographers, sonographers and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate, clinically relevant and timely diagnostic reports.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and report ultrasound examinations across a wide range of applications, including:General abdominal and pelvic ultrasoundObstetric ultrasoundFirst-trimester and anomaly scansFetal imaging and detailed fetal assessmentFetal echocardiographyDoppler studies, including obstetric and vascular DopplerSmall-parts and superficial ultrasoundOther routine and specialized ultrasound examinationsInterpret and report CT, MRI and X-ray examinations as per clinical requirements and area of expertise.Correlate imaging findings with the patient's clinical history, examination findings and laboratory results wherever relevant.Ensure appropriate imaging protocols are followed and advise on additional or complementary imaging when clinically indicated.Maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy and ensure reports are clear, comprehensive and clinically useful.Guide and supervise radiographers and sonographers regarding appropriate imaging techniques, protocols and image quality.Ensure adherence to radiation safety, patient safety, infection control and applicable regulatory requirements.Communicate significant or urgent findings appropriately to referring clinicians.Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and clinical consultations when required.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional and ethical standards.QualificationsMBBS with MD/DNB in Radiology or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.Valid registration with the appropriate medical council.Strong clinical and radiological knowledge with the ability to correlate imaging findings with clinical presentation.Good expertise in ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging.Candidates with experience or special interest in obstetric ultrasound, fetal imaging, fetal echocardiography and Doppler studies are particularly encouraged to apply.Ability to independently perform and/or report ultrasound examinations appropriate to the candidate's area of expertise.Competence in reporting CT, MRI and X-ray is desirable.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with clinicians, technologists and other healthcare professionals.Commitment to patient safety, radiation protection and ethical medical practice.Familiarity with PACS/RIS and digital reporting systems will be an advantage.Prior experience in a diagnostic centre or hospital radiology department is preferred.What We OfferFull-time and part-time positionsOpportunity to work with a broad range of imaging modalitiesStrong exposure to obstetric, fetal and Doppler ultrasoundProfessional and collaborative clinical environmentModern imaging infrastructure and digital reporting systemsCompetitive remuneration, commensurate with qualifications, experience and availabilityInterested candidates may apply with their updated CV and details of their preferred full-time or part-time availability.
