We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist/Consultant Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonologist) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases, provide comprehensive pulmonary care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and manage a wide range of respiratory disorders, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease (ILD), pulmonary fibrosis, pleural diseases, pulmonary hypertension, and lung cancer.Evaluate patients through detailed history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic investigations.Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), spirometry, arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and imaging studies.Perform bronchoscopic procedures (flexible bronchoscopy, bronchoalveolar lavage, transbronchial biopsy, endobronchial procedures) as credentialed.Manage patients requiring non-invasive ventilation (NIV), CPAP, and BiPAP therapy.Diagnose and manage sleep-related breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, where applicable.Provide inpatient consultations, outpatient clinic services, and emergency respiratory consultations.Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.Collaborate with intensivists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, infectious disease specialists, radiologists, and primary care physicians.Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, smoking cessation, medication adherence, and pulmonary rehabilitation.Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education activities.Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and ethical standards.Qualifications:MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.DM, DNB, CCT, Fellowship, Board Certification, or equivalent qualification in Respiratory Medicine/Pulmonology.Current BLS and ACLS certification (preferred).Experience:Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience.Experience in bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing is preferred.Experience in sleep medicine or interventional pulmonology is an advantage.Skills & Competencies:Strong clinical expertise in respiratory medicine.Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.Proficiency in bronchoscopy and pulmonary procedures.Effective communication and patient counseling skills.Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Benefits:Competitive tax-free salary.Health insurance.Annual leave and air ticket allowance.Continuing Medical Education (CME) support.Professional licensing assistance.End-of-service benefits as per UAE Labour Law.
