Consultant / Specialist Physician - Internal Medicine

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant or Specialist Physician - Internal Medicine to join its growing medical team.The successful candidate will provide comprehensive consultant-level medical care, manage complex adult medical conditions, and work collaboratively with specialists and allied healthcare professionals to deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult patientsConduct comprehensive medical consultations and develop individualized treatment plansManage acute and chronic medical conditions across outpatient and inpatient settingsEvaluate complex and undifferentiated medical presentationsReview and interpret laboratory, radiological, ECG, and other diagnostic investigationsManage patients with conditions including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, renal conditions, infectious diseases, and cardiovascular risk factorsAssess patients with multiple comorbidities and coordinate multidisciplinary managementProvide appropriate emergency assessment and stabilization within the physician's scope of practiceRefer patients to relevant subspecialists when advanced specialist intervention is requiredCoordinate patient care with emergency medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, infectious diseases, and other departmentsProvide clinical guidance to junior physicians and medical team members where appropriateMaintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical recordsCommunicate diagnosis, treatment plans, prognosis, and preventive-care recommendations clearly to patients and familiesPromote evidence-based medicine and appropriate use of diagnostic investigations and medicationsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and multidisciplinary meetingsComply with DHA regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policiesRequirementsMBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine.Appropriate experience at Consultant level.DHA License or DHA Eligibility is preferred.Candidates meeting DHA eligibility requirements may also be considered.Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.Demonstrated experience managing complex adult medical cases.Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
