Consultant General Surgeon – Surgical OncologyProfessor Vassos’s Surgical Oncology team is seeking a qualified General Surgeon to join the team at Athens Medical Center in Marousi, Athens, Greece.This position is suited to a surgeon with a strong interest in surgical oncology, a commitment to continued professional development, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.Responsibilities

Participate in general surgery and surgical oncology procedures, with a particular focus on sarcomas, melanoma, and rare tumors.
Contribute to preoperative assessment, perioperative care, and postoperative follow-up.
Support the team’s daily clinical activities and collaborate with colleagues across relevant specialties.
Participate in the team's on-call rotation.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical documentation.Essential qualifications
Specialist qualification in General Surgery and a valid license to practice medicine in Greece.
Proficiency in Greek sufficient for effective communication with patients and clinical teams.
Good command of English for effective communication with international patients.
Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative approach.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Previous experience in surgical oncology, research involvement, and scientific publications will be considered an advantage.What the role offers
