Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition PurposeThe Consumer Insights Manager is responsible for championing the voice of the consumer, and provide thought partnership grounded in consumer understanding that connects to business decisions.The role leads the generation of consumer, category and market understanding that enables customer-centric decision making across Management and cross functional teams (Menu, Marketing, Digital and Delivery). As the organization's consumer expert, the role is responsible for ensuring decisions are informed by a deep understanding of what customers think, feel, need and value today and in the future. Through a combination of consumer research, market intelligence and trend foresight, the role uncovers unmet needs, emerging behaviours and future opportunities that support business growth.Principal Accountabilities:Consumer Insights1.Research & Insight Delivery(i) Consumer InsightsLead design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research programmes.Manage external research agencies and suppliers to ensure delivery of high-quality insights.Ensure research outputs are translated into clear business recommendations and action plans.Manage annual consumer insights budget and research priorities.(ii) Menu & Innovation InsightsPartner the Menu team to support concept, product and innovation development.Lead consumer evaluation of new menu concepts and enhancement initiatives.Assess relevance, appeal and differentiation of new product ideas.Identify unmet consumer needs and whitespace opportunities to inform future innovation pipelines.2.Build Market & Category UnderstandingMonitor informal eating out, restaurant and foodservice market trends.Track category dynamics, competitor activities and changing customer preferences.Identify shifts in consumer behaviour that could create opportunities or risks for the business.Develop regular consumer and market intelligence updates for key stakeholders.Scan macro, social, cultural and food trends to identify future growth opportunities.Build foresight perspectives around how customers, occasions and eating behaviours may evolve.3.Translation of Insights into StrategyDevelop deep understanding of consumer behaviours, needs, attitudes, motivations and pain points that guide business implications and opportunities.Leverage emerging consumer trends and changing need states to inform future business performance.Insight Partner to Growth PlatformsSupports cross functional teams and adds consumer perspective into assigned projects and key business decisionsEnsuring planned growth initiatives align to customer needs and motivations.Shares point of views, even if differing, in a professional and collaborative wayRequirements
Qualifications
Degree in Marketing / Economics/ Business Administration/Statistics and/or equivalent.Experience:Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research, Brand Planning, Customer Strategy or related fields.Experience working with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.Experience managing agency partners and research programmes.Experience within FMCG, Retail, Foodservice, QSR or Consumer industries preferred.Technical Competencies:Strong knowledge of consumer research methodologies and market intelligence practices.Ability to analyse multiple data sources and derive actionable insights and business recommendations.Strong business acumen with the ability to connect insights to commercial outcomes.Experience developing research briefs, questionnaires, analyses and insight presentations.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Comfortable learning and leveraging new analytics, dashboards and AI-enabled tools.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Behavioural Competencies:Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across functions.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.Highly organised, pragmatic and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Adaptable, resilient and comfortable working under pressure.Demonstrates curiosity, creativity and a passion for understanding consumers.
