We believe the kitchen is the heart of the home, and we’re here to make it healthier, one utensil at a time.About the RoleWhy This Role Matters As a Customer & Consumer Insights Specialist, you’ll be the voice of the customer and consumer inside our organization. Your research and insights will directly influence product development, marketing campaigns, consumer communication, and business strategy. You’ll be responsible for understanding what consumers truly need, why they behave the way they do, and how those insights can be converted into meaningful business and product decisions.ResponsibilitiesConsumer Research: Lead quantitative and qualitative research including consumer interviews, surveys, focus groups, home visits, product testing, and consumer studies.Customer & Field Research: Conduct customer interactions, home visits, market visits, and field studies to understand real-world product usage and consumer behavior.Research Planning & Execution: Define research objectives, methodologies, questionnaires, sampling approaches, and execute research projects end-to-end.Consumer Behaviour & Trendspotting: Identify emerging consumer needs, behaviors, trends, pain points, and opportunities through research and customer data.Data Analysis & Synthesis: Analyze research findings, NPS, customer feedback, CRM trends, and other relevant data to identify meaningful patterns.Insight Generation: Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights that can support product, marketing, communication, and business decisions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Design, and Business teams to bring the consumer voice into strategic discussions.Insight Reporting: Create clear and concise insight decks, reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.What We’re Looking For3–6 years of relevant experience in consumer insights, market research, customer research, or a related field.Experience working with research agencies such as Kantar, Ipsos, NielsenIQ, GfK, Toluna, or similar organizations is preferred.Strong understanding and hands-on experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.Strong analytical thinking and the ability to convert consumer feedback and data into actionable business insights.Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.Strong curiosity and empathy with the ability to ask the right questions and uncover deeper consumer needs.Comfortable with fieldwork, customer interviews, home visits, market visits, and product testing.Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, presentation tools, and survey/research platforms.Experience in D2C, FMCG, consumer products, retail, or related categories will be an advantage.Ready to Join the Movement?If you’re someone who is curious about people, passionate about understanding consumers, and excited to turn research into real business impact, this role is for you.Join The Indus Valley and help us build products and experiences that make Indian kitchens healthier, safer, and better.
