As a growing boutique marketing agency, our work spans social media strategy and management, content production, paid media, branding, web design, and digital marketing across a diverse portfolio of clients and industries.The RoleSloane Strategy is seeking a Content & Production Manager to take full ownership of the agency's content production process while supporting accounts across organic social, paid media, account management, strategy, and agency operations. The primary focus of this position is content production and execution. This person will independently lead content shoots from pre-production through final delivery, capturing professional photography and video using DSLR/mirrorless cameras as well as social-first iPhone content. Outside of production, this is intentionally a cross-functional role. The ideal candidate is a cross functional marketing candidate who understands how content fits into a larger digital strategy and is comfortable contributing across the different services Sloane Strategy provides. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, wants significant autonomy over their work, and is excited by the opportunity to grow alongside a boutique agency.Role Description and ExpectationsPhotography & VideographyOwn and execute Sloane Strategy content shoots from beginning to endLead approximately 1–2 client content shoots per week, with frequency varying based on client needs in-person across the DMV areaManage pre-production planning, shot lists, equipment preparation, shoot execution, post-production, asset organization, and final deliveryCapture professional photography across a variety of industries, environments, lighting conditions, and visual stylesCapture high-quality DSLR/mirrorless video for social and digital campaignsCapture social-first iPhone photo and video contentConfidently direct clients, employees, models, and other talent on cameraUnderstand composition, lighting, exposure, audio, framing, movement, and visual storytellingEdit short-form video content including Reels, TikToks, advertisements, and other social-first videoEdit and color-correct professional photographyOrganize and archive RAW footage, photography, project files, and final assets within company systemsMaintain Sloane Strategy's production equipment and identify future equipment needsCoordinate additional production support when a project requires multiple shooters or specialized resourcesSocial Media & Account ManagementSupport and manage client relationships and day-to-day account needsParticipate in client calls and strategy conversationsDevelop content concepts and contribute to monthly content calendar planningWrite and refine social copy, captions, SEO-focused language, hashtags, and calls to actionSupport organic social media strategy across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedInSchedule and publish content through Meta Business Suite and other platformsReview social performance and contribute to monthly analytics and reportingHelp translate client goals into actionable content and social strategiesSupport the development and management of Meta advertising campaignsAssist with campaign setup, targeting, creative testing, optimization, and reportingCollaborate on paid creative concepts and produce photo/video assets designed for advertisingGenerate design collateral for specific content needs through Canva and Adobe SuiteMonitor campaign performance and contribute recommendations based on resultsOnboarding and OperationsAs a growing boutique agency, this position will also have opportunities to contribute across other areas of the business based on experience, workload, and interest, including:Client onboardingInternal processes and project managementProspect research and business development supportProposal and pitch preparationInfluencer marketing and ambassador programsSloane Strategy's own organic and paid marketingSupporting and mentoring interns as the agency growsSupport in overall client acquisitionIdentifying opportunities to improve creative, production, and account workflowsWhat We're Looking ForApproximately 3–7+ years of relevant professional experience in content production, social media, digital marketing, agency work, or a related fieldExtensive professional photography experience using DSLR and/or mirrorless camera systemsStrong professional videography experienceStrong portfolio demonstrating photography and video work across multiple styles, environments, and subject mattersHighly proficient in social-first iPhone content creationStrong video editing and post-production capabilitiesProficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere ProProficiency with CapCutProficiency with Google Ads & Analytics (GA4)Proficiency with CanvaFamiliarity with Trello and Monday or comparable project-management platformsProficiency of Meta Business Suite and Meta Ads ManagerStrong understanding of organic social media strategy and current platform best practicesExcellent organizational and project-management skillsComfortable communicating directly with clientsExperience selecting, setting up, and operating professional lighting and audio equipment for photography and video productionProactively monitor social media trends, platform updates, emerging content formats, and creative best practices and identify relevant opportunities for client accountsAble to independently manage projects, deadlines, and competing prioritiesStrong creative instincts and an eye for visual storytellingComfortable working in a growing small-business environment where responsibilities may evolveReliable transportation and ability to travel to content shoots throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern VirginiaAbility to occasionally accommodate early morning, evening, or weekend shoots when client needs requireSchedule and FlexibilityThis is a full-time, flexible hybrid position. The role is anticipated to require approximately two days per week in person, primarily for client content shoots throughout the DMV. Shoot schedules will vary from week to week based on client needs. Outside of scheduled shoots, client meetings, and other time-sensitive responsibilities, work may primarily be completed remotely with significant flexibility in day-to-day scheduling. This role is built around communication, quality of work, and meeting client deadlines rather than being in an office for a traditional 9-to-5 schedule.
