About Canton FoundationThe Canton Foundation’s mission is to foster the development and growth of the Global Synchronizer in the Canton Network and facilitate its governance. The Foundation provides transparency and member engagement in decisions made by the operators (Super Validators) of the Global Synchronizer to ensure a reliable, fair and trusted service for the Canton Network. Blockchain applications in the Canton Network can use the Global Synchronizer to enable atomic transactions across sovereign blockchains without sacrificing privacy or control.About the RoleCanton Foundation is looking for a Content & Research Lead to support our mission. Your work will directly shape how the Foundation grows, how teams collaborate, and how we attract and retain exceptional talent.This is a newly created role and you will not be inheriting a Playbook; you will help build it. We are looking for someone who can identify important stories, research complex topics, turn technical and institutional developments into clear content, and maintain a reliable publishing cadence.You will serve as the internal owner of the Foundation’s content program, including the website, blog, ecosystem updates, research-driven articles, executive communications, and other public materials. You will work directly with leadership, members, committees, developers, and ecosystem participants to identify content opportunities and bring them from initial idea through research, drafting, approval, and publication.This role requires someone who is both strategic and highly execution-focused. You should be equally comfortable creating an editorial plan, interviewing a technical expert, researching an unfamiliar topic, editing executive copy, and publishing a finished article through the website CMS.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the Foundation’s content strategy, editorial calendar, and publishing cadence.Serve as the internal content owner for the Foundation website and blog.Research and write articles, explainers, announcements, ecosystem updates, reports, member stories, and thought-leadership content.Identify important developments across the Canton ecosystem and proactively turn them into timely content.Work with leadership and subject-matter experts to translate complex technical, governance, blockchain, and institutional-finance topics into clear and credible communications.Maintain a consistent flow of new website and blog content so the Foundation remains active, relevant, and visible.Manage content from initial concept through research, drafting, review, approval, publication, and later updates.Conduct interviews with members, builders, Super Validators, committee participants, and ecosystem leaders.Create and maintain an editorial pipeline aligned with governance milestones, network activity, events, partnerships, and ecosystem growth.Review existing website materials and identify outdated, duplicative, unclear, or missing content.Publish and maintain routine website content through the Foundation’s CMS.Develop clear page briefs and coordinate with designers, developers, and external agencies when technical or visual support is required.Maintain consistency across the Foundation’s terminology, positioning, tone, and core messages.Support executive presentations, Board materials, speeches, announcements, and other priority communications.Develop reusable background materials, organizational descriptions, FAQs, messaging documents, and content templates.Coordinate basic SEO, metadata, internal linking, accessibility, and content-performance reporting.Use analytics and audience feedback to understand which topics are useful and where additional content is needed.Ensure that published materials accurately reflect the Foundation’s neutral role and distinguish Foundation activity from the independent decisions of network participants.About YouYou are an excellent writer, editor, researcher, and interviewer.You can quickly understand unfamiliar or highly technical topics and explain them clearly without losing accuracy.You naturally identify gaps, stories, and opportunities without waiting for someone to assign every piece of work.You are comfortable working without an established content playbook.You are execution-focused and able to move content from idea to publication with minimal supervision.You can balance speed with accuracy, judgment, and appropriate stakeholder review.You are comfortable working directly with executives, technical contributors, institutions, legal counsel, members, and external partners.You communicate with calm, clarity, candor, and professionalism.You are highly organized and can manage multiple drafts, deadlines, interviews, reviewers, and publishing priorities.You can establish and maintain a consistent editorial cadence in a fast-moving environment.You are comfortable owning routine CMS publishing and website-content maintenance.You understand that content ownership includes accuracy, follow-through, updates, governance, and quality control—not simply producing copy.You are data-literate and can use website analytics, search behavior, engagement data, and stakeholder feedback to guide priorities.You work well independently and do not require close management to maintain momentum.Preferred ExperienceExperience creating content for blockchain, financial markets, institutional technology, open-source software, governance, or another complex technical field.Experience owning an organizational website, blog, publication, or editorial program.Experience producing research-driven content for executive, institutional, technical, and community audiences.Experience interviewing subject-matter experts and converting those discussions into clear written materials.Experience working in a startup, foundation, nonprofit, association, or other small and fast-moving organization.Familiarity with content-management systems, website analytics, SEO, content audits, and editorial workflow tools.Experience managing designers, developers, agencies, or freelance contributors.A portfolio
