You'll be making short-form social content for a Mandarin-speaking consumer brand in the baby and parenting space — regular, ongoing volume, not a one-off. It's a small-footprint job: you, an iPhone, and one mom on camera.Casting. You find the talent — mostly moms — through Actors Access and similar platforms. Post the breakdown, sift submissions, pick the right person, sort the rate and the release, lock the location.Shooting. You film it on an iPhone. Product-in-real-life, UGC-style demos, day-in-the-life, street interviews. Natural light, handheld, fast. No crew, no truck, no call sheet.Editing. You cut your own footage into verticals for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Hook in the first second, captions, native pacing, trending audio. Turnaround in days.You'll also be the direct line to the client. Their team works in Mandarin — briefs, feedback and product notes come in Chinese. You run those calls and threads yourself, turn the brief into a shot list, and close the loop when work is delivered.Who you areRequiredFluent Mandarin and English, spoken and written. Comfortable running a client call and reading a brief with in-line comments in Chinese.NYC-based and available to shoot in person on a regular schedule.Short-form work you filmed and edited yourself, with real view counts.Genuinely good on an iPhone. You can make a kitchen counter at 4pm look intentional.Editing in CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut or equivalent. We care about the cut, not the software.Comfortable directing non-actors — getting a real, unstiff performance out of someone who has never been on camera.Strongly preferredYou've cast talent before through Actors Access, Backstage or a similar platform, and know how to write a breakdown that pulls the right submissions.A video — yours or a client's — that went viral, and a real explanation of why it did.Firsthand familiarity with the parenting/baby product category.Agency or brand-client experience, not only your own channel.How we workOngoing, regular volume.
