Contract Engineer - Civil

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.Good knowledge of civil and structural design codes (ACI, AASHTO, BS/EN, SBC, etc.).Minimum Experience:7 years of experience in civil/structural works for infrastructure, utilities, or industrial projects.Minimum 3 years in a head office/technical office environment (design review, quantity verification, contracts support).Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal departments.Key Skills:Technical/Engineering :Review civil and structural designs, reinforcement details, shop drawings, and method statements.Verify quantities and BOQ items against drawings and specifications.Understanding of concrete works, earthworks, roads, foundations, and infrastructure utilities.Contracts & Commercial :Prepare and review civil SOWs, BOQs, and support cost estimations where requiredAnalyze variation orders and extension of time claims related to civil works and provide technical input.Ensure civil scope is clearly defined and coordinated with other disciplines in contract documents.Negotiation & Communication :Negotiate with civil subcontractors on rates, quantities, construction methods, and schedules.Draft and review technical correspondence, site instructions, and civil-related contractual clauses.Strong coordination and communication skills with Planning, Contracts, Projects, and HSE teams.
