Contracts Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Contracts Engineer to support contract administration, subcontract management, and claims-related activities for major Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE. Join a business with deep technical roots, where your voice is heard, your impact is visible, and your career is part of a legacy of excellence.YOUR ROLEAs a Contracts Engineer, you will have the below key responsibilities including but not limited to:Contract Review & Commercial SupportReview contract and subcontract documents during the tender stage and identify contractual qualifications, risks, and deviations.Provide support in evaluating commercial and contractual obligations to protect company interests.Assist in ensuring compliance with contract terms, project requirements, and applicable contractual frameworks.Contract & Subcontract AdministrationPrepare and administer subcontract documents and contractual agreements.Draft and manage Variation Orders, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Confidentiality Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Consortium Agreements, and Settlement Agreements.Support the administration of both prime contracts and subcontracts, including preparation of contractual correspondence and documentation.Claims & Stakeholder CoordinationAssist in the preparation and submission of contractual claims by collating and maintaining contemporaneous project records.Support dispute avoidance and claims management activities in coordination with project and commercial teams.Attend meetings with internal departments, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders related to contractual matters and assigned tasks.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORExperience2 to 4 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Contracts Administration, or Commercial support roles within EPC, construction, or infrastructure projects.Experience supporting contract management, subcontract administration, and claims-related activities is preferred.Exposure to Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE or Middle East will be an advantage.Education and CertificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.FIDIC training or contract/law-based training will be an added advantage.APC candidates preparing for MRICS qualification are encouraged to apply.Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of contract administration and commercial processes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to review contractual documents and identify commercial risks.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation control.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software is desirable.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders.WHAT WE OFFERThe chance to contribute to some of UAE’s Oil and Gas EPC Mega projects.A collaborative, supportive environment that values innovation and excellence.Opportunities for professional growth and career progression.Competitive salary and benefits package.Ready to be part of our team?If you’re inspired by what you’ve read and believe you’re the right fit, we’d love to hear from you.Join Target Engineering and Construction Co.
