Every system is different, offering plenty of technical variety and the chance to work with a range of controls & robotic platforms and automation technologies.Controls & Robotics Integration Engineer - The Role:Working on predominantly bespoke solutions, you will be programming both control & robotic solutions from concept across a variety of market sectors, including FMCG and plastics.The position combines office-based engineering with regular customer site work throughout the UK, Europe and North America. At present, this is c30% of the time.Your responsibilities will include:Concept design & integration of PLC, HMI & SCADA systems including all networking requirements - Rockwell and/or SiemensProgramming and integrating industrial robotic systems - Fanuc experience idealDeveloping complete control architecture solutionsSupporting system design from concept through to commissioningInstalling, commissioning and optimising systems on customer sitesFault finding and supporting existing installationsManaging technical aspects of projectsWorking closely with multidisciplinary engineering teamsSupporting and mentoring colleagues in control & robotics technologiesEnsuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standardControls & Robotics Integration Engineer - The Person:We're keen to speak with Robotics Engineers, Automation Engineers or Controls Engineers who can demonstrate:Proven industrial controls & robotics programming and integration experiencePLC programming using Rockwell and/or Siemens platformsHMI, SCADA and indutrial network programmingExperience with one or more leading robot manufacturers including Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki or NachiExperience within manufacturing or industrial automation environmentsKnowledge of industrial control systems and industrial networkingStrong fault-finding and commissioning skillsExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsAny additional skills with Eplan, machine vision or background of packaging machinery highly beneficial.Due to the nature of the role, applicants should be willing to travel regularly, hold a full UK driving licence and be eligible to travel internationally - approx 40% with occassional weekend work.If you're looking for a role where you'll work on cutting-edge automation projects, develop your robotics expertise and see your designs brought to life on customer sites around the world, we'd like to hear from you.Located in Gloucestershire, this role is commutable from Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Evesham, Worcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Cirencester, Pershore and surrounding areas.Looking for a job involved with automation, control systems, process control or systems integration?
