What is the position?The Control Systems Developer is responsible for for developing, enhancing, and supporting PI and operational technology solutions that collect, manage, and present critical operational data. This role combines hands-on programming with systems analysis to translate operational and technical needs into reliable, efficient solutions.What are the responsibilities?As a Control Systems Developer, you will:Develop and support PI, SCADA, and operational technology solutions that meet business and technical needs.Evaluate operational data and existing system functionality to implement enhancements and new capabilities.Perform coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, deployment, and ongoing application support.Translate operational and technical requirements into effective system designs and solutions.Work with operational data acquisition, relational databases, and enterprise historian systems to support data availability and usability.Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through implementation.What are the requirements?Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field preferred.5-12+ years of IT, operational technology, automation, controls, or related experience.Experience with PI, SCADA, HMI, automation/control systems, or operational technology.Proficiency with Python, C#, and SQL / relational databases.Strong understanding of how operational data is generated, collected, and used in field or industrial environments.Oil and gas industry experience preferred.Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.Commitment to maintaining safety as a top priority.You would be really happy here if:Roadblocks don’t intimidate you.
