ABOUT THE JOB:The Control Tower Manager is responsible for expediting and coordinating the procurement and timely delivery of goods and services to meet requirements, operational needs and purchase order terms and conditions. They are required to oversee the procurement process from PO release to PO readiness and coordinate logistics activities through to final delivery, including our firm's controlled physical shipments where applicable ensuring on time, compliance and efficient execution.ROLES & RESPONSIBIITIES:Team Leadership & Operational ControlLead and supervise the expediting team, ensuring effective workload allocation based on PO priority and criticalityReview daily SAP Purchase Order (PO) reports, assess urgency and assign work accordinglyPersonally manage critical, high priority and time sensitive ordersMonitor team performance and ensure timely updates of PO status in SAP and reporting toolsMaintain full visibility of the PO dashboard and provide accurate status updates to stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance expediting processes and supplier performancePrepare supplier performance reviews and periodic management reportsPurchase Order ExpeditingExpedite local and international Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery in support of operationsCoordinate with suppliers and vendors to monitor order progress and resolve delivery issuesIdentify risks, implement recovery plans and escalate delays in accordance with proceduresProvide timely progress reports to procurement, end users and other stakeholdersEnsure real time ERP updates for all PO milestones and shipment activitiesSupplier & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary liaison between suppliers, procurement, end users, warehouse, finance and logistics teamsResolve supplier performance issues, delivery delays, payment related concerns and material discrepanciesSupport supplier performance evaluations and prepare vendor performance reportsEnsure timely submission of quality verification documents and other contractual documentationLogistics & Freight CoordinationCoordinate transportation planning and freight movements (air, sea, and land) where applicableMonitor shipments from suppliers through final deliveryCoordinate with freight forwarders, warehouse, logistics providers and engineering teams to ensure timely deliveryManage other regulatory requirementsEnsure warehouse readiness for incoming materials and timely receipt processingService Delivery Deliver expediting support across global supplier time zones, including outages, emergencies, weekends and holidaysEnsure adequate resource planning and business continuity through appropriate staffing and succession coverageHealth, Safety & ComplianceComply with all applicable HSE laws, PPE requirements, emergency response procedures, vehicle safety requirements and incident reporting proceduresSKILLS REQUIRED:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent5 years of experience in procurement expediting, supply chain, or logistics, preferably within manufacturing - industrial or energy infrastructure environments in the UAEExperience with SAP ERP systems and supplier performance managementProficient in all Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)
