Controller $120-140K plus 10-20% BONUSManufacturing | Private Equity Owned | High Visibility Role2 Days a week in the office !!!Legacy Search has partnered with a rapidly growing, private equity owned manufacturing company that is seeking a Controller to join its finance team in a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional looking to step into a true “right hand to the CFO” position with meaningful exposure to leadership, operations, and strategic initiativesAbout the OpportunityThis firm is thriving, and doing so well it has become a long term hold for its PE Ownership. The Controller will play a critical role in strengthening the month-end close process, improving internal controls, and supporting financial reporting for both internal leadership and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsPartner closely with the CFO on financial reporting, analysis, and presentation materialsSupport private equity reporting requirements, lender reporting, and audit processesAssist in cash management, budgeting/forecasting, and variance analysisEvaluate and enhance internal controls and accounting processesCollaborate cross-functionally with operations to understand cost drivers and inventoryContribute to system and process improvements as the company scalesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing or inventory experience highly preferred)Background in public accounting and/or PE-backed / mid-market environment is a plusStrong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and intercompany accounting.Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systemsProven ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high level of ownershipWhy This Role?Direct exposure to and mentorship from an experienced CFOOpportunity to influence and build processes in a growing organizationBroad scope beyond traditional accounting — true business partnershipClear path for career progression as the company continues to scale.
