The organization is dedicated to empowering industries with cutting-edge solutions that drive long-term success.Role Description The Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities for Power-Link Technologies Ltd. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting. The Controller will maintain internal controls, support audits, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. This role partners with leadership to analyze financial performance, provide insights for strategic decisions, and support cost management across projects and operations. The Controller will also oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, payroll coordination, and continuous improvement of financial systems and reporting.Qualifications Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis for decision support.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.Understanding of internal controls, audit practices, tax regulations, and applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASPE or IFRS).Background in project-based or construction/industrial environments, preferably within electrical or energy-related sectors.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with leadership, project teams, and external partners.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation (or working toward it) is an asset.Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs.Commitment to ethical financial practices, confidentiality, and continuous improvement of processes and systems.
