This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced controls professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex automation systems, working directly with customers and travelling to client sites to support industrial equipment installations.Key responsibilities include:Providing onsite and remote technical support to customers in the metal roll-forming industryTroubleshooting and diagnosing complex automation control system and equipment issuesWorking directly with customers to identify problems and implement effective solutionsAssisting with the programming of automation control systemsTesting and commissioning roll-forming equipmentPerforming equipment installations, repairs and maintenance at customer locationsTraining customers on automation control systems and roll-forming equipmentProviding internal training on equipment assembly, setup, testing and operationDeveloping and maintaining technical documentationFollowing all company and customer safety requirements while working onsiteThe ideal candidate will have:At least five years of experience with automation control systems and roll-forming equipmentPrevious field service or related experienceA strong technical background with advanced troubleshooting abilitiesEducation or training as an Electrician, Millwright, Tool and Die professional, Engineer or Engineering TechnologistExcellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skillsThe ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a teamA valid driver’s licence and passportThe ability to travel internationally, including to the United States, without restrictionThe ability to operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts and cranesThe ability to stand and walk for most of the day while working in an industrial manufacturing environmentThis position requires extensive travel—approximately three out of every four weeks—including overnight stays and extended trips.If you are a hands-on technical professional who enjoys travel, customer interaction and working with advanced industrial automation equipment, I would be pleased to speak with you.Please message me directly or submit your résumé to learn more.
