The company is expanding its activities across Europe and the Americas while building the operational foundation required to execute multiple complex projects simultaneously. To support this next phase, Reefy is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Chief Operating OfficerAs Chief Operating Officer, you will become the operational backbone of Reefy and the internal counterpart to the CEO. While the CEO focuses externally on commercial development, investors and strategic partnerships, you will take ownership of the company's day-to-day operations and execution.TasksYou will be responsible for building and leading Reefy's operational organisation. In practice, this includes:Taking end-to-end responsibility for the successful delivery of international coastal protection projects across Europe and the Americas.Managing project planning, procurement, logistics, supplier relationships and contractor performance.Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and according to customer expectations.Building scalable operational processes covering contracts, procurement, invoicing, legal administration, insurance, QHSE and risk management.Translating the business plan into operational priorities, capacity planning and measurable performance objectives.Working closely with engineering, product development, finance and commercial teams to ensure effective cross-functional execution.Reviewing commercial proposals to ensure realistic planning, appropriate risk allocation and sustainable project margins.Developing operational reporting, KPIs and management information that support informed decision making.Leading, coaching and developing the operational organisation while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability and collaboration.Acting as a key member of the Management Team, supporting strategic decision making and investor reporting.ProfileYou are an entrepreneurial operational leader who enjoys building organisations in a dynamic, international environment. You combine strategic insight with strong execution skills and know how to introduce structure without slowing down innovation.You bring:At least 8 years of experience in operations, project management or general management within engineering, infrastructure, construction, marine or environmental projects.Proven experience managing complex international projects involving multiple stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.Experience building operational processes, governance and scalable organisational structures in a growing business.Strong commercial understanding with the ability to balance customer expectations, project risks and operational feasibility.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and performance management.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently alongside founders, investors and customers.A university degree in a relevant discipline.
