Not only are you the point person at the front of the store for interacting with our customers, but you also get to bake all of our awesome Warm and Delicious cookies as well!At Insomnia Cookies, warm cookies are just the beginning.As a Cookie Crew Member, you're part baker, part hospitality expert, and part late-night hero. Every shift is a team effort, and every warm cookie, friendly interaction, and perfectly packed order matters.If you enjoy working with great people, thrive in an energetic environment, and love making someone's day just a little sweeter, you'll fit right in.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Every shift is a little different, but you can expect to:Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and make every interaction memorablePrepare, bake, and package our warm cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia's quality standardsAccurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online ordersOperate the register and process guest transactionsKeep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout every shiftJump in wherever your team needs you, whether that's restocking supplies, helping a teammate, or keeping the line movingResolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with your Shift Leader when neededDeliver the kind of experience that turns first-time guests into lifelong InsomniacsQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderAbility to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the locationAbility to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodationPhysical RequirementsThis position regularly requires the ability to:Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift)Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and liftLift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularlyOccasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistanceUse hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale systemWork in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration unitsSafely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company proceduresRead order screens, recipes, and safety informationCommunicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environmentWork EnvironmentThis position works in a fast-paced bakery environment that includes frequent interaction with guests, exposure to heat from ovens, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels. Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts are a regular part of the business.Schedule ExpectationsOur bakeries are busiest during evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
