TeacherMYP Individuals & Societies TeacherMYP CoordinatorLead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ILON Academy’s Middle Years Programme.Key responsibilities:Lead curriculum mapping, unit planning, assessment, reporting, interdisciplinary learning, and Approaches to Learning.Support teachers in inquiry, conceptual learning, differentiation, assessment, and student agency.Lead collaborative planning, standardisation, moderation, curriculum review, and professional learning.Develop programme policies, procedures, documentation, and quality-assurance systems.Monitor student achievement, intervention, and progression.Support transition between Primary, Middle Years, and future senior-secondary pathways.Contribute to teacher recruitment, induction, coaching, and evaluation.Support preparation for future IB programme authorisation and evaluation processes where applicable.Preferred profile:Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject with recognised teaching qualification; Master’s preferred.Significant experience in MYP or a comparable international middle-years programme.Previous MYP Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, Head of Department, or academic leadership experience strongly preferred.Strong understanding of MYP curriculum, concepts, global contexts, ATL, interdisciplinary learning, assessment criteria, and standardisation.Excellent spoken and written English.ManageBac and IB authorisation/evaluation experience are advantages.PYP Homeroom TeachersLead the academic and pastoral development of a primary class.Key responsibilities:Facilitate engaging, inquiry-driven and concept-based learning.Integrate learning across subjects and Units of Inquiry.Develop literacy, conceptual understanding, learner agency, and core academic skills.Use formative and summative assessment to guide instruction.Establish positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom routines.Maintain clear learning documentation, assessment records, and portfolios.Communicate proactively with parents and collaborate with specialist teachers.Preferred profile:Bachelor’s degree in Education, PGSD, or relevant field.Primary teaching experience in an English-medium environment.Strong classroom management and English proficiency.PYP experience or IB professional development preferred.PYP English TeachersDevelop confident readers, writers, speakers, and thinkers.Key responsibilities:Teach reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, and grammar progressively.Use varied literary and informational texts.Support phonics and early literacy where applicable.Use assessment evidence to identify needs and differentiate instruction.Collaborate with homeroom teachers to connect English learning with inquiry.Preferred profile:Bachelor’s degree in English Education, English, Linguistics, Education, or related field.Native or near-native English proficiency.Experience teaching English in primary or English-medium settings.Knowledge of phonics, structured literacy, reading comprehension, and writing instruction is advantageous.PYP experience preferred.PYP & MYP Mandarin TeachersDevelop students’ Mandarin proficiency while fostering curiosity about language and culture.Key responsibilities:Develop listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and character recognition.Design age-appropriate and engaging language-learning experiences.Assess language development and differentiate instruction.Contribute to cultural learning, events, and interdisciplinary projects.Preferred profile:Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language Education, Mandarin, Education, or related field.Native or near-native Mandarin proficiency.Strong English communication skills.Experience teaching children and/or adolescents.Familiarity with simplified Chinese characters and HSK progression is advantageous.PYP/MYP experience preferred.PYP & MYP Mathematics TeachersHelp students develop mathematical understanding, reasoning, problem-solving, and confidence.Key responsibilities:Teach mathematics conceptually while developing fluency and procedural accuracy.Build reasoning, mathematical communication, and problem-solving skills.Use manipulatives, visual representations, models, and appropriate technology.Diagnose misconceptions and differentiate instruction.Connect mathematics with authentic and interdisciplinary contexts.Preferred profile:Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education, Mathematics, Education, or related field.Strong mathematics subject knowledge.Experience in an international or English-medium environment.Familiarity with Singapore Mathematics, bar modelling, heuristics, or mastery approaches is advantageous.PYP/MYP experience preferred.PYP & MYP Physical Education TeachersSupport students in developing physical literacy, movement competence, teamwork, wellbeing, and healthy habits.Key responsibilities:Deliver safe, inclusive, developmentally appropriate PE lessons.Develop movement skills, sport-specific skills, fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.Teach health, wellbeing, safety, and responsible participation.Apply clear safeguarding and risk-management practices.Support sporting activities, events, and competitions.Preferred profile:Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education, or related field.Experience teaching school-aged students.Strong understanding of PE safety and inclusive participation.First Aid, CPR, coaching, or swimming qualifications are advantageous.PYP/MYP experience preferred.PYP & MYP Visual Arts TeacherDevelop students’ creativity, artistic technique, visual communication, and confidence.Key responsibilities:Teach drawing, painting, mixed media, design, sculpture, and other appropriate art forms.Develop artistic techniques, vocabulary, creative processes, and reflection.Guide students from exploration and experimentation to refinement.Maintain student portfolios and document progression.Curate exhibitions and contribute to school showcases.Preferred profile:Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Design, Education, or related discipline.Strong practical knowledge and artistic portfolio.Experience teaching children and/or adolescents.PYP/MYP experience preferred.MYP Individuals & Societies TeacherHelp students understand people, societies, systems, places, cultures, and change through inquiry and evidence.Key responsibilities:Teach Individuals & Societies through inquiry and concept-based learning.Develop understanding of history, geography, society, economics, and related disciplines.Build research, source analysis, argumentation, communication, and critical-thinking skills.Develop authentic investigations and inquiry tasks.Use criterion-related assessment and formative feedback.Contribute to interdisciplinary learning.Preferred profile:Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, or related field.Recognised teaching qualification.Strong academic literacy and subject knowledge.Experience teaching secondary or
