Through advocacy and empowerment, Wendi aims to build a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future for all in Uganda.Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full-time remote role responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and supporting volunteers who contribute to Wendi Foundation’s programs and initiatives. This role includes organizing volunteer orientation and training sessions, matching volunteers to suitable projects, and maintaining clear communication channels to ensure positive and effective volunteer experiences. The coordinator will track volunteer participation, collect feedback, and prepare regular reports to support program improvement and accountability. Daily responsibilities also include collaborating with program staff to identify volunteer needs, coordinating community outreach activities, and developing strategies to strengthen volunteer engagement and retention. The role requires proactive planning, relationship-building, and the ability to work independently while aligning with Wendi’s mission and values.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training skills to effectively coordinate, support, and develop volunteer teams.Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust, provide clear guidance, and engage diverse stakeholders.Candidates should possess Community Outreach experience to plan, promote, and support initiatives that connect volunteers with local communities.Relevant experience in non-profit, community development, or social impact organizations is beneficial.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects remotely are required.Proficiency with common digital collaboration tools and basic data tracking or reporting is an advantage.A diploma or degree in social sciences, community development, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
