Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob DescriptionJob PurposeThis role will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and compliance requirements of the Company. The role ensures timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, proper documentation, and alignment with applicable UAE regulations and internal finance policiesCore Tasks, Responsibilities and Authority:Financial Accounting & ReportingMaintain accurate books of accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, schedules, and management information as required.Perform general ledger postings, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.Support external and internal audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to audit queries.Assist in preparing accurate information required for tax, statutory, and group reporting purposes.Accounts Payable, Receivable & ReconciliationsProcess supplier invoices, payment requests, and expense claims in accordance with approved policies and authority matrices.Support accounts receivable activities, including invoice issuance, customer account follow-up, and receipt allocation.Prepare bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, customer reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations.Maintain complete and organised supporting documentation for all accounting entries and reconciliationBudgeting & Financial SupportAssist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis across departments or business units.Monitor expenses, identify variances, and support the Finance Manager with financial analysis and reporting.Provide accurate financial data to support business planning, decision-making, and cost control activities.Compliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, applicable accounting standards, and internal finance policies.Support the implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls, accounting procedures, and approval workflows.Ensure proper documentation, filing, and retention of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.Business SupportCoordinate with internal departments to obtain required financial information, approvals, and supporting documents.Assist the Finance Manager in generating regular and ad-hoc financial reports.Work with the wider finance team to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency.Qualification and Core Competencies:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.Professional certification mandatory: ACCA/CPA/ CMA/ CA, or equivalent qualification.Additional training in IFRS, VAT, financial reporting, or ERP/accounting systems is an advantage.TechnicalStrong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and general accounting principles.Experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and financial reporting.Advanced MS Excel skills, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial schedules.Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems. Preferably MS Dynamics.Experience4–6 years of professional accounting experience.Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Experience in UAE or GCC accounting environment is desirable.Strong knowledge of IFRS, compliance and financial reporting.
