We are looking for a Corporate AV Technician who is technically capable, naturally relational, and genuinely enjoys working with people. This person will support our Thrive managed service clients throughout Franklin, Nashville, and the surrounding area and will often become one of the most visible faces of NDEVIO within our client organizations.Our ideal candidate is someone who can troubleshoot a complex AV issue, explain it in simple terms, build trust with an end user, and comfortably interact with executives and C-level leadership, all while representing NDEVIO with professionalism, confidence, and a great attitude. This role requires someone who understands that how we make people feel during a service interaction matters just as much as solving the technical problem.What You'll OwnClient Experience & RelationshipsBuild strong, trusted relationships with clients and become a familiar, dependable NDEVIO presence within their organization.Communicate confidently and professionally with everyone from everyday end users to executive and C-level leadership.Understand how to read the room and adjust communication based on the audience, situation, and level of urgency.Explain technical issues clearly without overwhelming clients with unnecessary technical language.Remain calm, approachable, and solutions-focused when supporting high-visibility meetings or frustrated users.Look for opportunities to make the client's experience easier rather than simply completing the task in front of you.Follow through on commitments and communicate proactively so clients are never left wondering about the status of an issue.Develop relationships that make clients feel comfortable reaching out to NDEVIO when they need help, guidance, or recommendations.Thrive Managed ServicesProactively monitor and manage client AV systems to identify issues before they become disruptions. Troubleshoot remotely whenever possible to minimize downtime and unnecessary onsite visits.Own assigned service tickets from initial response through resolution.Meet contractual SLA response and resolution requirements and escalate issues appropriately.Keep clients informed throughout the service process with clear, timely communication.Identify recurring issues, aging technology, and opportunities to improve system reliability.Onsite & Executive SupportTroubleshoot and resolve AV issues in corporate offices, conference rooms, training spaces, executive offices, boardrooms, and other client environments.Test systems and ensure rooms are ready before important meetings and events.Provide professional live meeting and executive support when needed.Help users confidently operate room systems and collaboration technology.Anticipate needs and address potential issues before they affect a meeting or client experience.Maintain professionalism and composure in high-visibility environments where discretion, urgency, and attention to detail matter.Preventative Maintenance & System HealthPerform scheduled mid-year and year-end preventative maintenance visits for systems covered under Thrive managed service agreements.Thoroughly inspect and test displays, projectors, audio systems, DSPs, control systems, cameras, conferencing equipment, cabling, and related AV components.Verify system functionality, document equipment condition, and identify potential failures or lifecycle concerns.Maintain accurate equipment inventories and system documentation.Recommend repairs, replacements, upgrades, or improvements that support long-term system reliability.Troubleshooting, Repair & IntegrationDiagnose hardware, software, network, control, and conferencing-related issues.Perform device replacements, warranty/RMA swaps, firmware updates, and approved repairs.Perform light AV installation and replacement work as needed.Support AV systems integrated with client networks and collaboration environments.Coordinate effectively with client IT teams, NDEVIO engineering, manufacturers, and other technical resources.Follow issues through to resolution rather than simply identifying the problem.Documentation & AccountabilityMaintain accurate and timely service tickets, preventative maintenance reports, equipment records, and client documentation.Clearly document work performed, troubleshooting steps, system conditions, open items, and recommended next steps.Keep assigned tasks and service records current without requiring repeated follow-up.Communicate proactively when an issue, schedule, part, client dependency, or other roadblock could impact resolution.Who Will Be Successful in This RoleTechnical skills matter, but personality, communication, and relationship-building are equally important for this position.The right person is naturally approachable and enjoys interacting with people. You should be comfortable walking into an executive boardroom, introducing yourself to a C-level leader, working alongside an IT team, helping an employee who is uncomfortable with technology, and representing NDEVIO professionally in each situation.You don't need to have every technical answer immediately. You do need to be resourceful, communicate confidently, take ownership, and make sure the client knows their issue is being handled.We're looking for someone who:Has a naturally friendly, professional, and engaging personality.Builds rapport easily and genuinely enjoys working with people.Is comfortable and confident interacting with executives and C-level leadership.Understands professionalism, discretion, and appropriate communication in executive environments.Communicates technical information in a clear, relatable way.Is patient with users of all technical skill levels.Remains calm and personable when situations are stressful or time-sensitive.Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do next.Thinks ahead and looks for ways to improve the client's experience.Follows through and does what they say they will do.Understands that every onsite interaction represents the NDEVIO brand.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent.At least 2 years of experience as an AV technician, field technician, installer, or similar technical role.Hands-on experience installing, operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting professional AV equipment.General understanding of network-connected AV systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Professional, confident, and personable client-facing presence.Ability to communicate effectively with executives, IT professionals, end users, vendors, and internal teams.Ability to independently work through technical issues and determine appropriate next steps.Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work thoroughly.Ability to read system drawings, schematics, technical documentation, and manufacturer manuals.Ability to lift and move AV equipment and safely work at heights when required.Ability to comply with corporate, manufacturing, and client-specific safety requirements.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.PreferredExperience with Cisco collaboration solutions or other professional video conferencing systems.Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex, and related collaboration platforms.Familiarity with networked audio technologies such as Dante.Experience with Crestron, Extron, QSC, or similar control and DSP platforms.CTS, Dante, Cisco, manufacturer, or other relevant AV certifications.Associate degree or technical training in AV technology, electronics, networking, or a related field.Experience with ticketing, asset management, and remote monitoring platforms.How We WorkAt NDEVIO, our technicians do more than complete service calls. Travel is primarily local. Occasional overnight travel may be required, typically for short 1–2 day service or preventative maintenance visits. The normal schedule is Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, alignedwith client business hours. Some flexibility in start and end times may be required based on client needs. Evening work is rare, and regular weekend work is not required.
