Marvell has over 8,000 employees worldwide and approximately 2,000 employees at its India locations in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune. This role will provide legal support and advice on a variety of employment, privacy, intellectual property, regulatory, and litigation matters. This role will perform legal research, draft legal documents, and serve as a trusted advisor to the business teams. You will work within a dynamic global Legal team and report to Senior Counsel, Marvell India. This position will be based in Marvell’s Bangalore office and requires onsite presence five days per week.What You Can ExpectProvide legal support and advice to within Marvell’s India operations on a variety of commercial, employment, and regulatory mattersAssist with drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts and other legal documentsConduct legal review of Marvell’s business initiatives, provide solution-oriented practical advice to facilitate innovationSupport negotiations by preparing research, first drafts, and issue listsSupport litigation and claims, and negotiations of disputesPrepare, revise, and enhance Company policies and procedures in line with global policies and standardsWork with external legal counsel regarding specific matters requiring expert adviceConduct and oversee internal investigationsSupport design and delivery of trainingCollaboratively work with cross functional, and geographically diverse stakeholders to drive matters to completionIdentify, assess, and mitigate risksLearn Marvell’s products and services, industry and regulatory standards, and internal practices and ways of workingAdapt to ambiguity, remain open to new ideas, and adjust to changing needs and prioritiesPerform other legal support tasks as assigned by Senior Counsel, IndiaWhat We're Looking ForQualified to practice law in India with active Bar AdmissionBachelor’s degree in law from top tier law school3-6 minumum years of relevant in-house or law firm experience (as licensed counsel)Corporate legal related legal disciplines strongly preferredProven knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks in IndiaStrong legal research and writing skillsDemonstrated understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworksAbility to apply foundational legal or regulatory theories to legal matters; learns quickly through coachingProactively takes initiative, responds effectively to changing priorities, and delivers results with urgency across a broad range of matters.Ability to support and conduct negotiationsExperience drafting demand letters, discovery, litigation briefing, and settlement agreements preferredExperience conducting and/or advising on workplace investigations preferredAccepts feedback; proactively learns and identifies learning opportunitiesAdapts to ambiguity, is open to new ideas, and adjusts to changing needsAbility to handle tasks independently with minimal supervision, while receiving regular direction from Senior Counsel or other legal team membersAccountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independentlyExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple assigned tasksExcellent written and verbal communication skills in the English languageExperience in a fast-paced and dynamic organization, with demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesHighly approachable, collegial, and collaborative team playerProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a cross-cultural environmentWillingness and ability to travel within country as needed for business purposesThis role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.Additional Compensation And Benefit ElementsWith competitive compensation and great benefits, you will enjoy our workstyle within an environment of shared collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity.
