Apply & track with Apply EdgeCorporate Governance OfficerMy Client is a globally recognised multinational organisation that is seeking an experienced corporate governance professional to support and strengthen governance practices across the organization.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how they have actively contributed to the design and improvement of a corporate governance program across a large organisation.The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and stakeholders across the business to ensure robust governance, effective decision making, and adherence to corporate policies and procedures. That candidate will combine strong technical governance knowledge with a practical, delivery focused approach and a mindset of continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Board and Board Advisory Committee governance processes, including agendas, papers, presentations, minutes, and action tracking.Coordinate management responses to Board and committee recommendations and monitor implementation of agreed actions.Review, maintain, and update committee charters and governance documentation.Monitor governance action tracking systems and follow up on progress and completion of actions.Conduct committee effectiveness assessments and surveys, analyse results, and provide recommendations for improvement.Participate in benchmarking exercises and governance framework reviews against local and international best practices.Support implementation of governance related policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.Prepare governance reports, management information, and presentations for senior stakeholders.Required Experience and EducationBachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Audit, Corporate Governance, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate governance, company secretariat, board governance, compliance, internal controls, audit, or related functions.Experience working within multinational organisationsExposure to Board, committee, or executive governance processes.Strong understanding of governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and internal controls.Excellent drafting skills, including minutes, governance papers, reports, and presentations.Experience with listed companies would be benficial.Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior executives.Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on actions, and drive governance discipline.Corporate governance certification from a recognised professional body is desirable.Arabic language capability would be advantageous.
