Position ObjectiveProvide comprehensive legal advice and support to the company, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while providing timely and business-oriented legal guidance to different areas of the organization.The Corporate Lawyer will be responsible for identifying, preventing, and managing legal risks, protecting the company’s interests and assets, and supporting business operations within the applicable legal and regulatory framework.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice to the company and its different business areas on corporate, commercial, contractual, labor, regulatory, and administrative matters, ensuring that business decisions and operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, amendments, NDAs, legal letters, powers of attorney, and other legal documents required for the company’s operations.Identify and assess legal and regulatory risks, recommending preventive measures and mitigation plans to protect the company’s interests, assets, and reputation.Ensure and monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, internal policies, and corporate standards.Provide legal support on labor and employment matters, advising HR on labor regulations, disciplinary processes, employment terminations, union relations, collective bargaining, and other employment-related matters.Coordinate and supervise external law firms and legal advisors, including the follow-up of assigned matters, legal strategies, deadlines, costs, and results.Manage and monitor litigation, administrative proceedings, inspections, fines, claims, and other legal contingencies, coordinating the company’s legal defense when required.Support the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, dealers, business partners, and other third parties, ensuring appropriate protection of the company’s interests.Support corporate and governance matters, including powers of attorney, legal representation, corporate documentation, and coordination of procedures before notaries, registries, and public authorities.Maintain appropriate control and organization of the company’s legal and contractual documentation, ensuring proper traceability, confidentiality, and accessibility.Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company’s operations, informing relevant stakeholders and recommending appropriate actions.Support the development and implementation of internal policies, procedures, and controls aimed at reducing legal exposure and strengthening compliance.Promote a strong culture of legal compliance and risk prevention, providing legal guidance and training to business areas when required.Prepare legal reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for General Management and/or Headquarters, when required.Perform any other legal duties consistent with the position, responsibilities, and level of authority.RequirementsEducation: Law degree and authorization to practice law in Chile.Experience: Ideally 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within multinational companies and/or law firms advising corporate clients.Technical Knowledge: Corporate and commercial law, contract management, labor law, compliance, litigation management, and applicable regulatory frameworks. Experience in the automotive, energy, project, import/distribution, or other regulated industries would be considered an advantage.Languages: Advanced English, both written and spoken, considering regular interaction with Headquarters and international stakeholders.
