• Analyse customer requirements for cosmetic and personal-care manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate formulations involving emulsions, creams, gels, lotions, serums, shampoos and viscous products.
• Support technical selection of high-shear mixers, homogenisers, vacuum mixers and process vessels.
• Review formulation characteristics including viscosity, density, temperature sensitivity and phase behaviour.
• Support emulsification processes involving oil and aqueous phases.
• Evaluate powder incorporation and dispersion requirements.
• Analyse wetting, dispersion and deagglomeration performance.
• Review high-shear mixing and rotor-stator processing requirements.
• Support optimisation of batch sequence and ingredient addition order.
• Evaluate mixing speed, shear intensity, mixing time and batch volume.
• Support vacuum deaeration and removal of entrained air.
• Review heating and cooling requirements during batch processing.
• Evaluate the influence of process temperature on viscosity and emulsion stability.
• Support scale-up from laboratory and pilot batches to industrial production.
• Coordinate pilot trials and customer demonstrations.
• Review trial results involving viscosity, homogeneity, appearance, stability and product consistency.
• Support technical evaluation of process equipment for different cosmetic formats.
• Assist with cleaning and changeover requirements.
• Review hygienic design and product-contact requirements.
• Coordinate technical discussions between cosmetic manufacturers and international equipment suppliers.
• Support preparation of technical specifications, questionnaires and process-data sheets.
• Participate in FAT, SAT and commissioning activities where relevant.
