About the roleYou teach cosmetology theory and supervise students on the salon floor across hair, skin, and nail services, preparing them for Florida licensure and for work in a salon.What you'll doDeliver theory instruction following the approved program curriculumSupervise students performing services on clients on the salon floorDemonstrate cutting, colour, chemical services, styling, and sanitation techniqueEvaluate practical work and keep accurate records of hours, attendance, and progressPrepare students for the Florida state board examinationEnforce sanitation, safety, and professional conduct standardsContact students who miss class to understand why and help them get back on trackWhat we're looking forActive Florida cosmetology license in good standing — and any instructor credential Florida requires to teach in a licensed school[Number] years of professional salon experiencePatience and the ability to explain technique to students at very different skill levelsDependable attendance and professional presentationNice to haveExperience across multiple disciplines (hair, skin, nails) to support our Full Specialist programPrior teaching or mentoring experienceBilingual English/SpanishCompensation: $23.00–$25.00/hr.
