Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionThe Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost-related financial data to support effective decision-making and operational efficiency at MAKKAH WATER SAFA. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and maintaining cost records, analyzing production and distribution costs, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and assisting in pricing decisions based on detailed cost analysis. The role also involves preparing and reviewing cost-related journal entries, reconciling accounts, supporting the preparation of financial statements, and collaborating with operations and procurement teams to track variances and improve cost control. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, requiring close coordination with plant and office teams to ensure accurate, timely financial and cost information.QualificationsStrong cost accounting skills, including experience in cost allocation, variance analysis, and standard costing.Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial statements and management reports.Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.Experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing activities. Knowledge of finance principles, budgeting, and forecasting in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.Professional certifications such as CMA or CPA are an advantage.Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.Effective written and verbal communication skills in a professional business environment; fluency in Arabic and English is an advantage.Previous experience in FMCG, beverage, or manufacturing sectors is preferred.
