Cost Control Manage

Role Description The Cost Control Manager (part-time, remote) is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing project costs across multiple construction sites. Daily tasks include reviewing budgets, tracking actual expenditures versus forecasts, preparing cost reports, and identifying variances and potential savings. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost data, validate invoices, and support procurement decisions. The Cost Control Manager will develop and maintain cost control procedures, assist in contract and change order review, and provide regular financial performance updates to management. The position requires proactive risk identification, adherence to company policies and construction standards, and clear documentation of all cost-related activities.Qualifications Candidates should possess Supervisory Skills and experience in Site Supervision to effectively coordinate with on-site teams and understand field conditions impacting costs.Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to clearly present cost analyses, collaborate with stakeholders, and prepare concise reports.Candidates should possess Inspection and Construction Safety knowledge to interpret site-related issues, compliance requirements, and their cost implications.Candidates should possess experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis within construction or engineering projects.Candidates should possess proficiency with spreadsheets, project management or ERP tools, and basic accounting principles.Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.Relevant education in engineering, construction management, finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications in cost control or project management are an advantage.
