Cost Control - Modular (MEP Industrial)

Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecasts.Prepare and maintain detailed cost control reports, cost plans, and financial forecasts.Track material, labor, subcontractor, equipment, and overhead costs.Analyze cost variances and identify potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.Review project BOQs, budgets, quotations, purchase orders, and subcontractor costs.Coordinate with MEP, Procurement, QS, Planning, Project Management, and Finance teams.Monitor committed versus actual expenditure and ensure accurate cost allocation.Prepare monthly cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete reports.Assist in evaluating variations, change orders, claims, and additional works.Review subcontractor and supplier invoices against approved quantities, rates, and contractual terms.Maintain accurate cost databases and support management with cost-related analysis.Monitor productivity and resource utilization against approved budgets.Support tendering and estimation activities by providing historical cost data and benchmarks.Identify cost risks and provide recommendations for corrective action.Ensure all cost-control documentation is properly maintained and updated.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of Cost Control / Cost Engineering experience, preferably within MEP, modular construction, prefabrication, or industrial manufacturing.Strong experience with MEP Industrial projects is highly preferred.Experience in modular/off-site manufacturing or factory-based project environments is an advantage.Strong knowledge of BOQ, budgeting, forecasting, cost variance analysis, and cost reporting.Good understanding of MEP materials, labor, subcontracting, and project costing.Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant ERP/project cost-control systems.Strong analytical, numerical, reporting, and communication skills.UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
