Senior Cost Control Specialist / Cost Control Specialist – PMODammam, Saudi Arabia🇸🇦 Saudi Nationals OnlySenior Cost Control Specialist: Up to SAR 15,000 total monthly package + standard company benefitsCost Control Specialist: Up to SAR 13,000 total monthly package + standard company benefitsTake ownership of the numbers behind operational performanceWe are supporting a well-established and growing Saudi group in strengthening its PMO and are looking to appoint both a Senior Cost Control Specialist and Cost Control Specialist.These are not traditional accounting positions, nor are they purely reporting roles.You'll work at the intersection of Finance and Operations, helping the business understand where costs are moving, why performance is changing, how profitable its operations are and what action needs to be taken.The environment spans multiple operational businesses, giving you exposure beyond a single project and the opportunity to contribute to a developing PMO and cost-control function.What you'll be doingMonitor and analyse costs across projects and operational activities.Analyse direct and indirect costs, cost structures and allocations.Compare actual performance against approved budgets and forecasts.Identify cost variances, overruns and underlying cost drivers.Support budgeting and prepare/update cost forecasts.Analyse revenue, margins and profitability.Apply cost-control methodologies including Earned Value, CPI/SPI and related performance measures, where applicable.Turn financial and operational data into meaningful management insight.Develop cost reports, dashboards and KPIs.Work closely with Operations, Finance and PMO to understand what's driving the numbers.Identify opportunities for corrective action, stronger controls and improved profitability.Help strengthen cost-control processes and visibility across the organisation.The PMO is expected to centrally monitor operational performance, with the cost function covering daily cost monitoring, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, actual variances and fluctuations.
