Cost Controller

Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor actual project costs against approved budgets and identify variances.Track manpower, materials, subcontractors, overheads, purchase orders, and other project-related costs.Identify potential cost overruns, margin risks, and unfavorable financial trends.Maintain accurate project financial data through the PPM/ERP system.Prepare and upload project budgets and ensure proper cost allocation.Monitor project profitability, gross margins, cost trends, and overall financial performance.Prepare project cost reports, budget-versus-actual analysis, variance reports, and profitability reports.Prepare and coordinate project invoices in line with contractual terms, milestones, and approved budgets.Coordinate with Finance regarding invoicing, revenue recognition, accruals, and unbilled revenue.Support project budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities.Support month-end closing by ensuring project costs and revenues are accurately recorded.Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, Procurement, HR, and Finance to obtain accurate financial and operational information.Provide timely financial analysis and recommendations to support project decision-making and profitability.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Costing, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project costing, cost control, budgeting, project finance, or a similar role.Strong knowledge of project costing, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and project accounting.Strong hands-on experience with PPM (Project Portfolio Management) modules is essential.Practical experience with ERP and project-based financial management systems.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify financial risks and cost variances.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Experience in Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering, or other project-driven industries is preferred.
