Cost Estimator

Sphere recruitment are working with the construction arm of a very prominant real estate developer who seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to join a construction company in Riyadh, supporting the delivery of building projects through robust cost planning, budgeting and financial control.This role is focused on cost certainty rather than competitive tendering. Working within a largely related-party delivery model, you will be responsible for developing accurate estimates, maintaining cost plans and ensuring project expenditure is monitored against approved budgets.We are looking for a methodical, technically strong estimator with a solid background in building construction and quantity take-off, rather than someone whose experience is primarily in competitive tendering.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake quantity take-offs from CAD drawings and prepare detailed cost estimates.Develop and maintain cost plans and estimates using Excel.Apply internal rate libraries to accurately price quantities and build reliable cost forecasts.Support project budgeting, cost reviews and variation pricing.Monitor and report actual and forecast costs against approved budgets on a monthly basis.Maintain accurate measurement records and ensure consistency across estimates and cost plans.What We’re Looking For10+ years of experience in estimating or cost planning for building construction projects, ideally within a contractor environment.Strong experience in CAD-based quantity take-offs and advanced Excel.Good knowledge of measurement standards, bills of quantities and construction cost planning.Previous GCC or KSA experience is preferred.A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architectural Studies or a related discipline.Fluent English, with strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to cost management.
