In this role, you will be responsible for managing project costs, developing budgets, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver projects within approved financial parameters while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for engineering and construction projects of varying complexity and scaleMonitor and analyze project expenditures against approved budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actionsPrepare detailed cost reports and financial forecasts for project stakeholders and senior managementConduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies to support project decision-makingManage contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize costs without compromising qualityMaintain accurate cost documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standardsUtilize cost management software and ERP systems to track, record, and report financial dataCollaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvementsReview change orders and assess their financial impact on project budgetsProvide cost management guidance and support to project managers and engineering teamsEnsure adherence to Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local compliance requirementsParticipate in project meetings and present cost performance metrics to stakeholdersQualificationsMinimum exp 10 years of experience in cost management within the engineering and construction industryProven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecastingStrong knowledge of construction methodologies, project delivery methods, and industry standardsProficiency with cost management software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis toolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailExperience with contract management and vendor negotiationDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience working on projects in the Middle East or Saudi Arabia (preferred)Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and compliance requirements (preferred)Experience in risk management and contingency planning (preferred)Proven track record of implementing cost control measures and achieving cost savingsProfessional certification in cost management or related field (preferred)Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments
