Costing Analyst Manufacturing / Production

(SAP S/4HANA – Mandatory)Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Costing Analyst to monitor and control costs across multiple manufacturing and production units. This role requires strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA, deep understanding of production costing, and the ability to analyze variances, identify inefficiencies, and drive cost optimization.The ideal candidate must be capable of tracking actual vs standard consumption, validating production data, and highlighting operational gaps with clear, actionable reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze end-to-end production costing across multiple manufacturing units Track and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) vs actual raw material consumption, identifying variances and inefficiencies Analyze raw material cost, activity cost, and operational/production costs Monitor expected production vs actual output, identifying shortfalls and performance gaps Review daily production data, verify accuracy, and highlight issues such as: Higher raw material consumption Lower production output Process inefficiencies and wastage Work closely with production teams to collect, verify, and validate production data Identify loopholes and cost leakages in production processes and recommend corrective actions Drive cost reduction initiatives by controlling material usage and improving operational efficiency Maintain and update costing data and structures in SAP S/4HANA Prepare detailed MIS reports, variance analysis, and cost performance reports for management Support budgeting, forecasting, and standard costing processes Ensure accuracy and integrity of cost data through strict verification and validation checks Coordinate with finance, production, and supply chain teams for data alignment and reporting Has knowledge in doing pre-costing for new product developmentHas hands-on experience in calculating estimated landed cost of the upcoming import shipments and familiarity with other shipment-related chargesSAP knowledge on how to book cost conditions on purchase orders and booking the actual cost once actual invoice received   Mandatory Requirements4–8+ years of experience in costing / production cost analysis Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience (compulsory) — especially costing, production, and inventory modules Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production costing Proven experience in BOM analysis vs actual consumption tracking Strong expertise in analysis and cost control Advanced Excel skills (mandatory) — data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation Experience handling large volumes of production data with high accuracy Preferred BackgroundExperience in food manufacturing / food processing industry is highly preferred Experience managing costing across multiple production units or plants Familiarity with standard costing, activity-based costing, and production KPIs Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving mindset High attention to detail with a verification-driven approach Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive cost optimization Strong coordination skills with production and operations teams Excellent reporting and presentation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Costing, or related field Professional certifications (CMA / ACCA – partly or fully qualified) are an advantage
