Counsellor/ Play Therapist

Since CEWB was established in 2011, we have been committed to providing exceptional therapeutic support and counselling services in Primary, Secondary and Alternative Provision schools. Our team specialises in Play Therapy and Counselling for pupils, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need to overcome emotional and psychological challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 counselling/ play therapy sessions to students within a school setting.Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and other professionals and organisations to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing.Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with professional and ethical standards.Maintain CEWB records appropriately.Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns appropriately.

Requirements

Qualified counsellor or Play Therapist (Level 4 Diploma or above in Counselling, Psychotherapy, or related discipline).Membership of a recognised professional body (BACP, UKCP, NCS, PTUK or equivalent).Experience working with children and young people, ideally in a school setting.Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one in advance of contract).Professional Indemnity Insurance.Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.To work within the school term time.To work within school hours. Own Vehicle and Valid UK Driving LicenceOwn Laptop or Tablet
