From choosing the right institution and course, to navigating the application and admission process and providing guidance throughout the visa process, our experienced team is committed to helping students achieve their academic ambitions.About the roleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Study Abroad Counselor to join our Dhaka team. The successful candidate will guide students and their families throughout the entire international education journey, from initial counseling and profile assessment to university selection, application submission, and visa processing.This role requires strong knowledge of international education systems, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple student applications effectively.Key responsibilities● Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to understand students’ academic backgrounds, career goals, and study preferences.● Assess student profiles and recommend suitable countries, universities, programs, and pathways.● Provide accurate guidance on admission procedures, application requirements, scholarships, and student visa processes.● Support students with document preparation, application submissions, personal statements, essays, and statements of purpose.● Review application documents for accuracy, quality, and compliance with institutional requirements.● Coordinate with universities, education partners, and relevant stakeholders throughout the application process.● Conduct follow-up calls and meetings to ensure applications progress within the required timelines.● Organize and deliver group information sessions, seminars, webinars, and workshops for students and parents.● Participate in school visits, outreach programs, and other promotional activities.● Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records using CRM or student management systems.● Stay informed about changes in international education trends, university requirements, admission policies, and visa regulations.● Collaborate with colleagues to improve counseling procedures, service quality, and operational efficiency.● Maintain the highest standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.Required qualifications and skills● At least 1-2 years of experience managing study abroad or international education cases independently.● Candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience may be considered for a Study Abroad Senior Counsellor position.● Strong knowledge of university admissions, academic programs, and visa procedures for major study destinations, including:● Australia, including CRICOS institutions and relevant student visa requirements● Canada, including Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) and study permit requirements● New Zealand, including NZQA-related education pathways and visa requirements● The United Kingdom, including UKVI requirements● Malaysia, including EMGS procedures and visa requirements● North America and other major international study destinations● Excellent counseling, advisory, communication, and interpersonal skills.● Fluency in both Bengali and English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.● Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines.● Strong attention to detail and the ability to review and improve essays, personal statements, and statements of purpose.● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, online research tools, CRM platforms, and student management systems.● Comfortable delivering presentations and conducting workshops for groups of students and parents.● A bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline.
