With a head office in Kathmandu and branch offices in Gujarat and Haryana, Global Dreams Educational Consultancy focuses on delivering reliable, end-to-end support that helps students successfully pursue international education pathways.Role Description The Counselor for Canada & NZ (experienced) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. The counselor will provide one-on-one guidance to students interested in studying in Canada and New Zealand, including course and university selection aligned with individual profiles and career goals. Daily responsibilities include counseling sessions, assessing academic and financial backgrounds, explaining admission and visa requirements, and supporting students through application, documentation, and interview preparation. The counselor will coordinate with universities and internal teams, maintain accurate student records, and follow up on application and visa outcomes to ensure a smooth process. The role also involves participating in student outreach activities, information sessions, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Canadian and New Zealand education systems, institutions, and immigration policies.Qualifications Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student aspirations and provide clear, objective guidance for Canada and New Zealand study pathways.Knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and visa and immigration requirements for Canada and New Zealand.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proficient spoken and written English; additional local language skills are an advantage.Organizational and documentation skills, with experience managing applications, maintaining records, and handling multiple student cases simultaneously.Proficiency in using computers, online application portals, and common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing, CRM tools).Prior experience in overseas education consultancy, student counseling, or related customer-facing roles, preferably focused on Canada and/or New Zealand.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications in counseling or international education are beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, demonstrate integrity, and maintain a student-centered, non-discriminatory approach in all interactions.
