Located in the Atrium building, Stillwater offers unique amenities such as a gym, a thoughtfully designed lobby, and relaxation spaces that support grounding and restorative experiences.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Counselor (LPC), Neuro-informed role based in the Greater Chicago Area. The counselor will provide individual and family counseling services, using neuro-informed approaches to support clients in regulating emotions, processing experiences, and building resilience. Daily responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, documenting clinical notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards, and collaborating with other counselors to coordinate care. The role involves maintaining a caseload, participating in case consultations and supervision, and contributing to a warm, trauma-informed, and inclusive environment for clients. The counselor may also engage in community outreach, psychoeducation, and wellness programming that aligns with Stillwater’s mission of growth and healing.Qualifications Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in Illinois or eligibility for licensure within a reasonable timeframe.Demonstrated experience in neuro-informed, trauma-informed, or brain-based therapeutic approaches, with the ability to integrate these methods into treatment planning.Strong skills in individual counseling, family work, and crisis intervention, with experience serving children, teens, and/or adults in outpatient settings.Proficiency in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation using electronic health records while adhering to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment for clients of diverse backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working within a small, team-based practice and participating in case consultation.Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.Willingness to work on-site in the Atrium building and engage with the practice’s amenities and environment as part of the therapeutic experience.Previous experience in private practice, community mental health, or school-based counseling is preferred but not required.Commitment to ongoing professional development,
