Our Finance team plays a critical role in enabling that success.We're looking for a Country Controller to lead financial operations in Nigeria, ensuring robust financial governance, accurate reporting and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to partner with senior business leaders, influence strategic decision-making and help drive sustainable business performance in one of Kantar's key markets.What you'll be doingAs Country Controller, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial control and compliance for our Nigeria business. You'll work closely with local and regional stakeholders to ensure strong financial performance and operational excellence.Key responsibilities include:Leading the preparation and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.Ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Nigerian statutory requirements and company policies.Managing local tax compliance, including VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, corporate income tax and other regulatory obligations.Maintaining and strengthening internal controls and governance processes.Acting as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisers and regulatory stakeholders.Supporting statutory audits, financial reviews and regulatory submissions.Partnering with business leaders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.Leading, developing and mentoring the local finance team.Collaborating with regional finance teams and shared service functions to resolve financial matters and improve processes.Reviewing balance sheet and profit and loss positions to ensure accuracy and integrity of reporting.The ideal skills and experienceWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with leadership capability and a collaborative approach.You'll bring:A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.A professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.Significant experience in financial control, accounting or finance leadership roles within a multinational environment.Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian statutory reporting requirements and local tax regulations.Experience managing audits, compliance activities and financial governance processes.Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across different functions and levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience leading and developing finance professionals.Knowledge of financial systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms such as SAP or Oracle.It would be advantageous if you also have:Experience managing finance-related projects.Exposure to Power BI or other reporting and visualisation tools.Experience working across international finance environments.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.What's in it for youAt Kantar, you'll be part of a global business that values expertise, collaboration and continuous learning.
