Responsibilities
Strategic. Responsible for delivering the business unit vision and strategies and developing and executing the business unit targets of a Global Freight Forwarder. Recommends business unit capital plan and customer development footprint. Participates in regional Leadership Team to set group priorities and manage key initiatives. Explores, identifies and develops opportunities that broaden and strengthen the market position and profit potential of the business.Operational. Develops and/or adapts best practices to deliver synergies within and across the business unit to include: customer development, products/solutions chemical market dominance, expand other verticals and Organization brand promotion. Partners with other sector leaders to establish and deliver “back end” capabilities, sector initiatives, and the appropriate “front end” capabilities. Ensure compliance with established corporate financial and internal controls in all countries in region. Stablish and Manage Key Operation Metrics, initiate actions to improve productivity and control cost.Customer Focus. Responsible for key customer’s ‘front end” relations/development with a focus on continuing growth of existing business, as well as work in collaboration with Sales Leaders to on board new customer & business portfolio in line with Organizational strategy. Acts as a Company ambassador/spokesperson representing the company with local governments, local partners, customers and communities, including participation in local boards.Innovation. Partner with sectors to deliver back end capabilities including sector initiatives, sales/profit targets and drive business innovations.Safety and Compliance. Lead Organizations commitment to world class corporate and environmental standards by ensuring compliance to all internal and external guidelines. As legal representative for the business- unit, ensures compliance with all laws while protecting all Company patents, assets, trademarks, business plans, confidential information and brand nameTalent Builder. Leads business talent management and development plan ensuring the leadership pipeline necessary to secure the growth plans.
