Country Director – UAE

Role Description The Country Director – UAE will provide strategic and operational leadership for CFC’s activities in the United Arab Emirates, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives and regional vision. This part-time hybrid role is based in Dubai, with a combination of office presence and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing market entry and expansion strategies, identifying business development opportunities, and building relationships with distributors, customers, regulatory authorities, and strategic partners. The Country Director will monitor market trends, oversee local compliance and risk management, and coordinate with headquarters on forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting. The role also includes representing CFC at industry events, maintaining strong stakeholder communication, and supporting supply chain and logistics coordination between UAE and Cameroon.QualificationsProven experience in country or regional leadership, business development, or general management within agribusiness, food production, or related sectors.Strong skills in strategic planning, market analysis, and commercial negotiation to drive growth and partnerships in the UAE.Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management, including government bodies, regulators, investors, and commercial partners.Solid understanding of supply chain, import/export processes, and regulatory frameworks in the UAE and broader GCC region.Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French or Arabic is an advantage.Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, with strong organizational skills and sound judgment in decision-making.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Agribusiness, or a related field; a graduate degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.Prior experience establishing or scaling operations for international companies in the UAE or GCC is highly beneficial.
