Country Manager – UAE

Kara Express is looking for a commercially driven logistics leader to take full responsibility for our UAE business and lead the next stage of growth.We are looking for someone with strong freight-forwarding experience, particularly air freight, who understands how to win business, manage operations, lead people and take ownership of financial performance.This could be an experienced Country Manager or General Manager, but equally a strong Commercial Director, Head of Sales, Branch Manager or Regional Commercial Leader who is ready to step up and take full ownership of a country operation.The RoleYou will lead Kara Express UAE, a team of approximately 40 people, with responsibility across commercial, operational, financial and team performance.Key responsibilities include:- Drive revenue and gross-profit growth through new business development and stronger key-account management- Lead, motivate and develop the UAE commercial and operational teams- Take ownership of overall country performance, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L- Oversee air-freight and freight-forwarding activities together with express and related logistics operations- Improve service quality, efficiency and profitability- Develop strong relationships with airlines, agents, suppliers and key partners- Work directly with the company owners on growth strategy and business development- Represent Kara Express with customers, partners and international officesWhat We’re Looking For- Strong UAE logistics and freight-forwarding experience- Deep understanding of air freight and the UAE air-freight market- Proven commercial and business-development track record- Experience leading teams or a significant business unit- Demonstrable responsibility for commercial or branch performance, including revenue, gross profit, budgets or P&L — beyond simply managing an individual sales target- Strong understanding of margins, pricing, budgeting and profitability- Practical operational knowledge — not purely a sales profile- Hands-on leadership style and willingness to take personal ownership- Ambitious and motivated to grow with the business- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment without large corporate support structures- Ocean freight, express logistics and regional GCC experience are advantagesPrevious Country Manager experience is not mandatory.
