Department: Marketing & ContentAbout DubaiDataDubaiData is an AI-powered data intelligence platform transforming large-scale structured and unstructured data into actionable insights.We are looking for a creative, experienced, and trend-savvy Scriptwriter, particularly from the Philippines, who understands Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and modern short-form storytelling.If you know how to turn an idea into a scroll-stopping hook, engaging story, and memorable Reel, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities* Write engaging and creative scripts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.* Create powerful hooks that capture attention within the first few seconds.* Research viral trends, popular formats, trending topics, sounds, and storytelling styles.* Turn complex topics related to data, AI, technology, business, finance, and global trends into simple and entertaining content.* Develop fresh Reel concepts, storylines, dialogues, voiceovers, and CTAs.* Write scripts that are natural, conversational, and suitable for voiceover or on-camera presentation.* Collaborate closely with video editors, designers, social media managers, and content creators.* Provide visual and shot suggestions where required to help editors execute the scripts effectively.* Study high-performing content and identify successful hooks, formats, and storytelling techniques.* Revise scripts based on creative feedback and content performance.* Maintain consistency with the DubaiData brand voice while experimenting with new creative formats.What We're Looking For* 4+ years of professional experience in scriptwriting, content writing, social media, or short-form video content.* Proven experience writing scripts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.* Excellent written and spoken English.* Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, audience retention, and CTAs.* Highly creative with the ability to develop multiple fresh content ideas.* Strong knowledge of current social media trends and viral content formats.* Ability to simplify complex topics and make them interesting to a general audience.* Strong research and storytelling skills.* Comfortable working remotely and meeting deadlines.* Ability to take creative feedback and quickly improve scripts.* Strong attention to detail.🚫 Important: Original Creativity RequiredWe are not looking for candidates who simply use ChatGPT or other AI tools to generate scripts.We are looking for a genuine creative thinker and experienced scriptwriter who can independently develop original concepts, hooks, stories, dialogues, and engaging content.AI tools may be used for research, brainstorming, or supporting the creative process, but the final script must demonstrate your own creativity, storytelling ability, personality, and understanding of the audience.If your approach is simply to enter a prompt into ChatGPT and submit the generated output, this role is not for you.Good to Have* Experience working with international brands or audiences.* Experience creating content around AI, technology, finance, business, or data.* Experience working with influencers, UGC creators, or content creators.* Basic understanding of video editing, storyboarding, or shot planning.* Experience analyzing Reel/TikTok performance and using insights to improve future scripts.* Familiarity with AI tools for research and ideation while maintaining strong human creativity.What We Expect From Our ScriptsOur scripts should be structured around:HOOK → STORY / VALUE → RETENTION → PAYOFF → CTAThe goal is not simply to provide information.
