Creative Web Developer / 3D & AI Experience Engineer

CREATIVE WEB DEVELOPER / 3D & AI EXPERIENCE ENGINEERABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a Creative Web Developer / 3D & AI Experience Engineer who sits at the intersection of software engineering, 3D development, visual design, animation, and generative AI.This is not a conventional front-end developer role. You will be responsible for building highly visual, interactive and immersive digital experiences - including 3D websites, interactive product experiences, animated interfaces, digital environments, AI-powered creative tools, configurators, and branded web experiences.The ideal candidate is someone who can take a creative concept or Figma design and independently turn it into a production-ready, technically robust, visually impressive web experience. You should be equally comfortable working with React and TypeScript as you are with Three.js, WebGL, React Three Fiber, animation libraries and generative AI tools.We are particularly interested in candidates who have actually shipped interactive or 3D experiences, rather than candidates whose experience is limited to traditional websites, basic React applications, or AI experimentation.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 1. Creative Web DevelopmentBuild production-ready interactive websites and digital experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js or equivalent technologies.Develop sophisticated front-end interfaces with advanced animations, transitions, micro-interactions and responsive behaviour.Translate Figma designs, prototypes, creative concepts and art direction into polished, functional experiences.Build reusable components, interaction systems and scalable front-end architectures.Ensure experiences work reliably across modern browsers, screen sizes and devices.Maintain clean, maintainable and production-quality code.2. 3D & WebGL DevelopmentBuild real-time 3D experiences for the web using Three.js, WebGL, React Three Fiber or equivalent technologies.Create interactive 3D environments, product showcases, digital showrooms, landing pages and immersive storytelling experiences.Implement 3D models, cameras, lighting, materials, textures, animations and interactions.Work with custom shaders, particle systems, post-processing effects, physics and advanced rendering techniques where required.Build interactive product configurators and experiences where users can manipulate, customize or explore 3D objects.Optimize 3D assets and rendering performance for both desktop and mobile.Handle 3D asset formats, compression, loading strategies and optimization for web delivery.3. Motion & InteractionDevelop high-quality motion experiences using technologies such as GSAP, Framer Motion or equivalent.Create scroll-based animations, page transitions, interactive storytelling, hover interactions and complex UI motion.Combine animation, 3D and user interaction to create experiences that feel premium and intentional.Translate motion concepts and visual direction into technically accurate implementations.4. AI & Generative ExperiencesUse generative AI tools as part of the creative development workflow, not simply as a productivity tool.Use AI for visual ideation, concept development, image generation, asset creation, rapid prototyping and creative experimentation.Generate and integrate AI-created imagery, textures, backgrounds, graphics and other visual assets into digital experiences.Experiment with generative AI to create new types of web experiences, digital storytelling and interactive campaigns.Build AI-powered experiences where users can generate, customize, transform or interact with visual content.Integrate generative AI APIs and models into web applications when required.Develop workflows that combine AI-generated assets + Figma/design systems + front-end development to accelerate creative production.Understand how to maintain visual consistency and quality when working with generative AI outputs.5. AI API & Technical IntegrationIntegrate third-party APIs and AI services into modern web applications.Work with image-generation, vision, multimodal or other generative AI APIs where appropriate.Build interfaces around AI-generated outputs with appropriate loading states, error handling and user interaction.Structure AI outputs for reliable integration into production experiences.Understand the practical limitations of generative AI and how to design around them.6. Performance & ProductionOptimize graphics-heavy websites for speed, responsiveness and rendering performance.Optimize 3D models, textures, animations, shaders and assets for web delivery.Implement lazy loading, asset preloading, code splitting and other performance techniques where appropriate.Identify and resolve browser, rendering and device-specific issues.Test experiences across desktop, mobile and different browsers before deployment.Maintain high standards for accessibility, usability, responsiveness and code quality.7.
